in Munich: his supreme and András Adorján was born in Budapest, grew up in Copenhagen and lives since 1974 in Munich. He first studied dentistry, obtaining his dentist‘s diploma in Copenhagen in 1968. He completed his musical studies under the auspieces of Aurèle Nicolet and Jean-Pierre Rampal. After winning two international prizes in 1968: in Copenhagen "Jacob Gade Prize" and in Montreux the "Concours International de Flûte", András Adorján was unanimously awarded the "Premier Grand Prix" of the "Concours International de Flûte de Paris" in 1971. This was the beginning of an international career which has led him to appear worldwide as soloist with the best chamber and symphony orchestras. Between 1970 and 1987 his activities included the position of principal flautist of important symphony orchestras in Stockholm, Cologne, Baden-Baden and Munich. 1987 he was appointed professor at the Musikhochschule in Cologne and since 1996 he is teaching at the Musikhochschule in Munich. András Adorján is a welcome guest at important music festivals and he is very active in widening the flute literature by playing many by him (re)discovered pieces as well as compositions by contemporary composers inspired by and written for him. More than 100 records and CDs (1988 Prize of the Deutsche Schallplattenkritik) testify to the eminent artistry of András Adorján. Jacqueline has received numerous awards, including two consecutive Vicars Close prizes from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools for Music and a “highly commended” honour in both the Helen Eames Piano Prize and Christian Carpenter Recital Prize. She also won a concerto competition to perform the Saint- Saens Piano Concerto No. 2 under the baton of Christopher Adey, one of Britain’s most renowned orchestral trainers at Wells Cathedral, UK. Closer to home, Jacqueline is a frequent guest for interviews and recordings at RTHK Radio 4. Jacqueline’s performance venues in Hong Kong include the “A Tribute to Mozart” Festival, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, City Hall, St. John’s Cathedral, Cultural Centre, and the Fringe Club. Ringo is proactive in bringing internationally acclaimed flutists to Hong Kong for a wide variety of flute activities, from concerts, workshops, masterclasses, summer flute camps to flute repairing workshops. These all contributed to the promotion of the quality and level of flute playing for the youngsters, amateur, as well as professionals in Hong Kong. Flutists of such include Adorjan, Aitken, Artaud, Bennett, Chen, Clardy, Dufour, Flury, Galway, Kudo, Offerman, Pahud, Schulz and Wye. Other contributions include: establishing annual Hong Kong Summer Flute Camp in collaboration with Profressor Mary Karen Clardy of the University of North Texas; appointed as regional editorial representative by the National Flute Association (NFA) in reporting flute news for publishing in the NFA magazine ; founder of the Hong Kong Flute Quartet; and at the invitation of James Galway, coordinated the Galway’s masterclass in Hong Kong. As conductor of the Hong Kong Flute Centre Flute Orchestra, Ringo led the ensemble in giving numerous Hong Kong and world premiere performances of major flute concertos with internationally acclaimed flutists. In October 2009, Ringo, together with his mentor and teacher, Robert Aitken, embarked on an Asian tour, conducting the Philippines Flute Society Flute Orchestra and Sichuan Conservatory of Music Flute Orchestra in concerts in Manila, Philippines, Cheng Du and Shanghai, China. 陳子愉為香港長笛中心及 純樂管弦中心之創辦人兼音樂總監，陳氏於加拿大接受音樂教育, 分別畢業於皇后大學及西安大學音樂學院. 在學期間， 陳氏隨多位長笛名師習藝, 當中包括著名長笛家 羅拔特．艾爾健 、杜尼達．加舒浩及菲安娜 威健信等。 陳氏多年來積極推動及提升本地長笛演奏水平, 並先後成立 香港長笛中心長笛樂團及 香港長笛中心青年長笛樂團,不遺餘力地推動長笛樂團之發展及普及性. 透過邀請無數當今最享負盛名之長笛大師與樂團合作及主持多項不同類型之長笛活動，使香港之長笛發展，獲得國際長笛界之認同。 這些曾獲邀請之世界知名長笛大師包括有占士‧高威、帕胡德、威廉‧班納、羅伯特‧艾爾健、工藤重典、查爾佛‧威亞、皮艾爾‧亞托、迪他‧費利等 此外, 陳氏聯同美國著名長笛教育家及演奏家格拉迪教授於2006年起成立本港首個夏季長笛營, 至今已成為本地週年長笛盛事之一。 陳氏亦獲美國國家長笛協會之邀請，為其協會於亞洲區之項目通訊專員，負責為其季刊Flute Quarterly 報導亞洲區長笛活動狀況。 二零一零年八月, 陳氏獲歐洲最具規模長笛協會 -- 英國長笛協會之邀請, 將聯同由其創辦之香港長笛四重奏及香港長笛中心青年長笛樂團前往英國曼切斯特城參與其週年大會, 並將於會上首演由本港著名作曲家 鄧樂然為陳氏及四重奏所創作之長笛樂團作品.
Sibei studied with Prof. Annette von Stackelberg and Prof. Karlheinz Zoeller at the University of Art Berlin, and Prof. Andras Adorján at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. She graduated from both universities with highest honors. She also attended flute master classes with Nicolet, Adorján, Artaud, Schulz, Kahner, Gruenenthal, Kovács and Proehle. In 2005, Sibei entered the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra Academy and then served in the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra until 2007. She performed in many famous music festivals across Europe. She has also performed regularly with the world’s most prominent orchestras such as Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks and Munich Chamber Orchestra, and worked with numerous famous conductors, leading composers and musicians around the world. Sibei has also won prizes at the 53rd International Music Competition of ARD Munich, the 38th International Flute Competition in Budapest and the 1st Beijing Nicolet International Flute Competition. She is a recipient of DAAD Scholarship (German Academic Exchange Service) and has been a member of the Yehudi-Menuhin “Live Music Now” association since 2002. At present, Sibei is the principal flute of Hong Kong Sinfonietta. 翁斯貝出身於上海。四歲起學習鋼琴。後就讀於上海音樂學院附屬小學及附屬中學，主修長笛，十二歲時舉辦了首次個人長笛鋼琴獨奏音樂會。 17歲時翁氏赴德留學，先後就讀於柏林藝術大學，師從史達高伯 教授和卡漢斯 蘇拿 教授及慕尼黑高等音樂學院，師從當代長笛大師阿朵裡安。 2003年，翁氏於長笛演奏專業考試中以近乎滿分的成績獲得德國大學碩士學位，並繼續深造。翁氏於2005年以全屆最優秀的成績獲得德國“大師班最高演奏家文憑”。 在歐洲期間翁氏也參加過許多大師課，包括亞度特, 蘇斯特, 根拿 等。 自2001年起，翁氏定期接受世界最偉大的長笛演奏及教育家之一尼可萊教授的指導。他在一次公開課上，向來自近十個國家的長笛學生對翁氏評價說：“我深信，未來的長笛主導將在中國！” 翁氏為柏林愛樂樂團學院之成員，並於2005-2007期間工作於世界頂級交響樂團--柏林愛樂樂團，並參加了各大國際音樂節，包括薩爾茨堡音樂節，愛丁堡音樂節，倫敦BBC Proms音樂節，柏林音樂節等等。 於此期間，翁氏也受柏林愛樂長笛首席 包華和 帕胡德的指點，深受其影響。旅德期間，翁氏也經常應世界著名樂團，如巴伐利亞廣播交響樂團，慕尼黑室內樂團等樂團的邀請演出。 翁氏也多次於個大國際音樂比賽中獲獎，如世界最大歷史悠久的音樂比賽之一，2004年慕尼黑ARD國際音樂比賽，成爲該比賽有史以來首位獲獎華人長笛選手及2003年布達佩斯國際長笛比賽等。 翁氏留德學習期間曾獲得德國學術交流中心所頒發的獎學金。 自2002年起，成為由著名小提琴家梅紐因以其名創辦的“梅紐因基金會”的成員。 翁氏現為香港小交響樂團首席長笛。
The quartet prides itself for its wide repertoire lists and instrumentation. The instrumentation of the quartet includes piccolo, flute, alto flute, bass flute, and Asia’s only contrabass flute and subcontrabass flute. Flexibility in size allows the quartet to expand, mix and modify with other media to come up with unique sound concepts and musical ideas. Since its establishment, the quartet has performed with a number of outstanding flutists and internationally recognised musicians, namely Andras Adorjan, Chen Sang-qing, Mary Karen Clardy, Shigenori Kudo and Colleen Lee. In addition, the quartet was invited for an exclusive interview by the Cable TV in year 2007. The year 2010 marks a significant moment for the Hong Kong Flute Quartet as it embarks on a tour to the United Kingdom to participate, at the invitation of the British Flute Society, in the British Flute Convention to be held at Manchester, England. At the convention, the quartet will give the world’s premiere of a flute ensemble repertoire, composed by renowned Hong Kong composer Lok-yin Tang. It is the first time a Hong Kong flute ensemble has been invited to join this international event, therefore revealing the high ability, the solid recognition of professionalism and musicality of the Hong Kong Flute Quartet. 香港長笛四重奏由 陳子愉於二零零五年創立，為 香港長笛中心轄下其中一個主要長笛組織。 四位成員分別為區家濠 、鍾卓輝 、李長豐及蘇慧賢。 四重奏成員精通吹奏各類不同長笛家族中各類樂器，並透過不同樂器組合，演奏出較傳統長笛四重奏更獨特之長笛合奏音響及精髓。成員自成立至今，多次獲邀演出並接受電台及電視台訪問。 此外，成員亦曾與多位本地及國際知名長笛家合作演出，包括格拉迪 、工藤重典、陳三慶及李嘉齡等. 二零一零年八月, 香港長笛四重奏接受世界兩大長笛協會之一英國長笛協會之邀請，前赴英國曼切斯特參與二零一零年英國長笛協會週年年會並作公開演出。 四重奏更委約本港著名作曲家鄧樂賢創作全新作品，於年會上作世界首演。 是次邀請及演出標誌著本地專業長笛藝團首次踏足國際性長笛舞台，與來自世界各地之名師名家，同台獻藝。

Jacqueline Leung was born in Hong Kong, She is the second place winner of the 2010 American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition. Described as a player who possesses ‘musicality, intelligence and technical finesse’, her performances have been heard in venues across the globe including Austria, Belgium, China, England, Italy, Poland and the USA. 
Founder and Director of the Hong Kong Flute Centre, Ringo received his music education in Canada, receiving his music degrees from Queen's University and the University of Western Ontario. While studying in Canada, Ringo studied the flute under the tutelage of Canadian flutists Donelda Gatshore, Fiona Wilkinson and the world-renowned flutist Robert Aitken.
Hong Kong Flute Quartet was founded in 2005 by Ringo Chan. The Hong Kong Flute Quartet is made up of four distinguished young flutists from Hong Kong. They are Kelvin Au, Alecx Chung, Stephen Lee, and Winnie So.
